Everything else Beltren does depends on members feeling safe being themselves. That safety is designed into the platform: who can get in, what they can see, how they are expected to behave, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Membership requires confirming eligibility within a community, and may combine an approved institutional email, an eligibility confirmation, an identity check, and a secure device-linked credential. Anonymous and duplicate accounts are structurally hard to create, which is the point.
Beltren is a private network, not a public one. Profiles and posts are visible to verified members by default, are not public web pages, and are not built to be indexed by search engines. Privacy settings narrow visibility further, down to individual profile fields.
Community standards prohibit harassment, hate, impersonation, scams, and the misuse of member information. Because accounts are verified, conduct carries real accountability: a ban is a ban on a person, not on a throwaway email.
Every profile, post, message, and listing carries a report action. Reports are reviewed by people, with clear outcomes ranging from content removal to account suspension. Urgent safety concerns are prioritized ahead of everything else.
Sign-in uses a device-linked credential with modern account protections, and data is encrypted in transit. Beltren never asks for, stores, or sees institutional passwords, and staff access to member data is limited and logged.
We collect what we need to run and secure the platform, and we do not sell personal information. Verification documents are used to confirm eligibility, never shown to other members, and retained only as long as needed. Details live in the Privacy Policy.
No online platform can promise perfect security or perfect behavior, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is a structure that makes abuse harder, consequences real, and problems easier to surface and resolve.
Beltren communities work because a few expectations are non-negotiable. The full standards ship with the product; these are the ones that define the culture.
Be who you verified as. Impersonation and misrepresented affiliation end an account.
No harassment, hate, or targeting. Disagreement is welcome; degrading people is not.
Deal honestly. Scams, deceptive listings, and bait postings are removed and remembered.
Respect member privacy. What is shared inside the community stays inside it. Scraping and re-sharing member information is prohibited.
Keep the community lawful. No prohibited items, illegal activity, or content that puts members at risk.
Report from the profile, post, message, or listing itself, in two taps. Reports are confidential; the person reported is not told who filed.
Trained reviewers assess reports against the community standards, with urgent safety issues moved to the front of the queue.
Outcomes range from a warning to content removal to suspension. You hear back when your report is resolved, not just that it was received.
